Black-out or no power is the easiest problem that a pc tech could
encounter. Below are the steps:
- Inspect the pc. Look something that might cause the black-out.
- Remove the power supply unit (PSU) plugs. get the 24/20 pin socket. Disregard the 4 pins socket.
- Now, the paper clip trick. Test the PSU using the paper clip or any bendable wire in which the first end of the paper clip will be put inside the green socket and the other end in any of the black socket beside the green one. Plug it.
- If the PSU’s fan didn't move, you need to replace it. That’s the cause of no power of your computer.
- After replacing it, boot up your computer. See to it if it will continue up to your operating system.
- If it does, your problem’s solved!
Common cause:
- fluctuating power – use an UPS or an AVR to suppress the electrical energy.
- mice, rats, cockroaches or any small animals and insects that likes to chew electrical appliances.
- You might also want to check your PC’s birth date to know if you need to replace it.
